Let us take you through a typical process from start to finish.

Working with a designer-builder means that your vision and needs are understood right from the initial concept and design stage of the project. There is no communication barrier between your designer and your builder—because we are both of them!

INITIAL BRIEFING & OBLIGATION-FREE CONSULTATION

Discuss your design and budget expectations with Carebuild to ensure the project is feasible.

Carebuild prepares a proposal for your project. It outlines the general design brief, fees and deliverables for the design and pre-construction stage. it also contains a building cost estimate for the construction stage.
You sign off and we get to work!

Stage 1: DESIGN & PRE-CONSTRUCTION

Concept and Design: Carebuild discusses your project in much more detail with you, and develops a concept design for your approval and sign-off.

Documents and Approval: Carebuild arranges architectural drawings, and structural engineering design if required. Carebuild also prepares all documentation required and submits all neccessary forms and certifications to get council approval for your project.

Final Estimate: Carebuild consults with you to establish a detailed scope of work and selection of finishes; electrical, lighting and plumbing services; architectural detailing; bathroom, kitchen and joinery design. Based on this, we obtain competitive pricing and negotiate tenders for your project.

At the end of Stage 1 you are ready to sign our fixed price building contract.

Stage 2: CONSTRUCTION & BUILDING WORK

Carebuild manages and supervises the entire building project:

  • Site establishment and set up
  • Procurement of sub-contractors, suppliers and materials
  • Scheduling of activities and project planning
  • Supervision and management of all tradespeople
  • Monitoring of site for cleanliness and safety
  • Regular meetings with client to track progress
  • Checks on quality and design detailing
  • Arrangement of inspections with engineers and authorities
  • Final clean and completion checklist

FINISHED PROJECT AND HANDOVER

  • Handover of any building maintenance, product operations and instruction manuals
  • Handover of authority approvals
  • Handover of certificate of occupancy and the keys to you.
